This website is to help the user identify PGA Tour
golfers with the best potential for winning golf tournaments. The best
potential can often be indicated by players’ recent finishes and his
finishes in previous years at the event being played.
Spreadsheet data has indicators of “hot” players and “horses for
courses” players. Picks is the combination of the 2 spreadsheet
indicators.
Some explanations:
-
The links on the left of the page provide raw data on a spreadsheet of each player
in the event and how he finished in the previous weeks and his finishes
at the event over the past 5 years.
-
Both sets of data within the spreadsheet help choose golfers who are either playing well
going into an event or played well at the event in prior years. Consider
these as either “hot” or “horses for courses” so to speak. If a player
is both “hot” and plays the course well, it’s a good indication he’ll
have a decent finish, with a chance to win.
-
The “picks” link is a page where a few players are identified as
having decent potential based on the spreadsheet data.
-
The best way to use the spreadsheet is to start right between the
most recent finish for the player and where the player finished in the
event last year. If those two numbers are pretty low, then there’s a
good chance the player will do well. Obviously, the more lower numbers
next to a player, the more likely he is to finish well at the event.
-
Good luck in your picks. No matter how much research might be out
there, there are about 150 guys teeing it up every week with a chance to
win. This site is just trying to show the ones who may have the best
chance.
We look forward to any comments, feedback or suggestions
to help improve this website.
